KOMITEEVERGADERINGS

  • 21      Mei ‘09          Komiteevergadering & sosiaal
  • 18      Jun ‘09          Komiteevergadering & sosiaal
  • 23      Jul ‘09           Komiteevergadering & sosiaal
  • 27      Aug ‘09         Komiteevergadering & sosiaal
  • 17      Sep ‘09          Komiteevergadering & sosiaal
  • 29      Okt ‘09          Komiteevergadering & sosiaal
  • 19      Nov ‘09         Komiteevergadering & sosiaal

Dankie en groete

Building Review

Unobtrusive roof, Dresden, Germany – It is hard to believe that the membrane cupola, which has been recently added to roof the Kleiner Hof (small inner courtyard) of the Dresden castle, has been occasionally described as too much of a new addition.

Engage in the SACAP debate on DesignMind

The growing debate around SACAP fees and the role of the organisation is drawing some pretty contentious views from the design community on DesignMind and Facebook. Obviously the issue is a topical one for many. No-one seems to be talking. To help, DesignMind is playing host to the debate and providing a forum to share information and constructive opinion. Get involved in the debate on www.designmind.co.za  [ http://www.designmind.co.za/forum/topics/the-growing-debate-around  ] and help to find the common ground that will benefit all design industry stakeholders.

Revit Structure conquers engineering challenges

Tony Ritchie Engineers and Ritchie Midgley Consulting Engineers

With an 18-storey curved, glazed façade, the mixed-use development, Legacy Corner, is tipped to become the new landmark of Sandton’s business hub, north of Johannesburg.

Joint venture partners Tony Ritchie Engineers and Ritchie Midgley Consulting Engineers, structural and civil consultants for the development, relied on Revit Structure software to help them meet complex engineering challenges and an aggressive project schedule. The software was used in conjunction with a suite of specialised analytical programs from Prokon.

Located on the last undeveloped site in the Nelson Mandela Square precinct, the development, for Legacy Hotels and Resorts International, comprises the 175-room
Da Vinci Hotel, an apartment block, three levels of retail space and four levels of parking.
